Darren Macey

Cambridge Mathematics Framework Developer

I spent nearly 10 years teaching secondary maths before I joined OCR in 2014 where I worked on the redevelopment of A Level Mathematics. I now work for Cambridge Mathematics on the statistics content in the Cambridge Mathematics Framework. I am currently studying for a PhD at the Faculty of Education at Cambridge University and am part of their Mathematics Education Research Group. My research interests include mental models of statistical concepts and developing statistical reasoning. I am an ambassador for the Royal Statistics Society and a member of their Teaching Statistics special interest group committee, and am also a trustee of the Teaching Statistics Trust. I write about maths teaching and assessment and co-authored the pedagogy book for teachers Teaching Statistics.
