How we can help

Designing and implementing an effective curriculum is a complex challenge that impacts on every other part of your education system.

We have constructed the Cambridge Mathematics Framework; a flexible digital framework that maps out the full mathematical landscape for learners 3 – 19, showing developmental pathways and connections based in evidence and practice. Taking into consideration the intentions, content and organisation of your curriculum, we will use the Framework and our expertise to support you in designing a curriculum that is connected and coherent, and that offers a structure from which support materials, resources, teacher professional development and assessments can be designed.

What we offer

We use a research-based approach to provide high-quality mathematics curriculum review and development for your unique context.

We start by understanding your aims and the context of your curriculum project. This may include challenges you have already identified, the purpose of the curriculum, specific perspectives that you want to promote and the place of digital technology. This information, alongside our experience and expertise, will help to ensure our partnership is designed to support you in making curricula decisions that best suit your context.

In some situations, there is a need for large-scale changes, but in other situations it may be that a change in one specific area or grade will have the required effect.

We provide a variety of curriculum services:

  • curriculum review: Undertaking curriculum review to ensure that your curriculum aligns with its aims and objectives whilst also offering a coherent, connected learning experience;
  • curriculum adaptation: Working with you to build on the results of your curriculum review, formulating potential adaptations that will tackle the identified issues concerning coherence and content coverage; and
  • curriculum design: Working with you to design and develop a detailed coherent curriculum that satisfies your aims and objectives.

Our curriculum design solutions can be:

  • bespoke design by Cambridge Mathematics;
  • co-developed by Cambridge Mathematics and your team; or
  • developed by your team using the Framework with training and support from Cambridge Mathematics.

The key benefits are the development of:

  • a curriculum based on evidence from research and practice;
  • a coherent curriculum aligned to your unique context, aims and wider educational objectives; and
  • a curriculum package that offers structure for the basis of learning resources, assessments and teacher professional development.
